poverty line, and that each year 500 people in the capital region area of Florida
are either homeless or at great risk of becoming so. - Problems such as physical inactivity, childhood obesity, and lack of self esteem
have grown to epidemic proportions. Families who are consumed with the day
to day struggle of putting food on the table and a roof over their heads have little
energy and insufficient resources to address the important elements of a
child's formative years.
